From the Educated Traveller program and its variety of educational experiences abroad to the many Educated Alumni events in Edmonton, the U of A Alumni Association offers many opportunities to continue the pursuit of knowledge and experience the joy of discovery.
New Spring/Summer Programs in Edmonton
This spring, the Alumni Association is proud to announce a new educational opportunities for alumni, friends and family in the Edmonton area.
The Educated Gardener kicks off in April with the first of three programs focused on gardening in the Edmonton area. Sessions include a workshop with Jim Hole on Container Gardening, and Introduction to Permaculture Gardens and a field trip to Devonian Botanic Garden for tip and tricks on growing in this climate.
Watch for information later this summer on our fall programs. The Educated Wallet and Educated Palate will make their return to our line up. The Wallet series will feature a signature workshop by Jim Yih ('91 BCom) on retirement and a seminar with Lesley Scorgie ('05 BCom) about teaching children about financial matters. The monthly Educated Luncheon lecture series featuring some of our outstanding university faculty will return with a special Luncheon to be held during Alumni Weekend in September 2012.
