Henry Marshall Tory, founding President of the University of Alberta, stated “The modern state university has sprung from a demand on the part of the people themselves… The people demand that knowledge shall not be the concern of scholars alone. This enduring expression of who we are has been instilled in alumni throughout our proud history. The University of Alberta is firmly established as one of Canada’s top universities, and we strive to be a top 20 international university by 2020. To achieve this, we must continue to attract leading researchers and the best students.
You may not have realized during your time at the U of A, your education was supported by the gifts of generous alumni and donors that paved the way for you. As much as our reunions are about coming back to celebrate our years at the University of Alberta, they are also about the chance to give back.

The average cost of a first year student, living away from home, is currently $17,416.00, with tuition accounting for $5195.00. Reunion class gifts allow students to focus on their education and extracurricular activities.

Making a contribution to the Reunion Class Gift Program is a meaningful way to celebrate your class reunion year and join your fellow classmates in leaving a legacy that will benefit students today. Your gift or pledge may be directed to the school or program of your choice. A special Reunion gift is a practical, visible vote of confidence in our alma mater. It helps strengthen the University and enhances the value of our own degrees. Your gift touches supports today's students!
