After U

After-U is a series of events, co-produced by the U of A Alumni Association and the Centre for Student Development, designed to prepare students for the transition from the academic environment of University to their life after undergrad. We facilitate learning for students and connect them with resources on and off campus, including our network of U of A alumni.

Upcoming event: The Last Lecture

We asked Evan Chrapko, '88 BCom, what he would talk about if he could only give one last lecture. On April 12th, we'll find out.

1,048,575 + 1 = YOU, a Last Lecture by Evan Chrapko

Celebrate the end of classes with an inspiring lecture from one of the U of A's most notable grads. Hear from the man who launched his first business from his home in a low-income housing project and sold it 30 months later for $811 million. Drawing on life lessons learned from his early days on the family farm to his current position running a renewable energy company, Evan Chrapko will tell us why "1,048,575 + 1 = YOU."

A reception will follow (complimentary hors d'oeuvres and cash bar)

Thursday, April 12 Timms' Centre Doors at 5:30, lecture at 6:00 FREE! Space is limited, please register in advance through the Bearsden or by emailing chloe.chalmers@ualberta.ca.
